recipe cards?

I was talking recently to a prospect
future client (a mortgage loan originator), who mentioned he hasn’t
been able to market at all recently because he’s been too busy working.

He mentioned that his real estate contacts loved receiving the monthly
recipe cards he sent as part of his marketing strategy.

I am not sure about the effectiveness of the recipe cards

as a way for Mortgage professionals to keep in touch with their real
estate contacts. On the plus side, at least the cards keep your contact
information in front of their eyes. On the minus side, while recipe
cards have worked in the “go go” days of housing industry, real estate
professionals may be looking for information to help them get deals
done.

So, rather than assume, I thought I would ask the members of Active
Rain. Do you like the recipe cards? If not, would
you rather receive information about
:

  • Changes in the mortgage market that
    may affect your ability to close deals.
  • New or little known lending programs
    to help your “marginal” buyers?
  • Marketing Tips to help your grow your
    business.
  • Other? _____________________________
